A luxurious 62m motor yacht, has been a valued client since 2013. Built in 2010, the yacht features a Dupont Acrylic base coat with a clear coat finish. Over the years, we have developed a strong relationship with the Captain and crew, built on trust, quality, and professionalism.

  • In 2013, the Captain contacted us regarding micro scratching on the clear coat in high-visibility guest areas. The goal was to restore the yacht’s aesthetic appeal by removing these micro scratches.

  • We employed a gentle polishing system followed by a wipe-on, buff-off ceramic coating. This ceramic coating, being harder than the clear coat, significantly reduced the occurrence of micro scratches.

  • Over the past 11 years, ceramic coatings have proven to be the solution to various issues:

    • Gloss Retention: The original paint still maintains gloss readings of over 85 GU.

    • Exhaust Area Protection: Eight years ago, we applied a thicker 10-micron coating to the exhaust areas to prevent soot from ingraining into the topcoat. This solution has reduced cleaning time and protected the paint, especially important as the yacht became one of the busiest charter boats in the Mediterranean.

    • Paint Repair Blending: Recently, we addressed issues with paint repairs blending by using a fine polish and applying a ceramic coating, making the repairs less visible.

    • Additional Applications: We have also polished and applied our coatings to the yacht’s tenders and glass.

  • Our relationship with the Captain and crew has been built on consistent quality and service. We conduct gloss readings every six months, maintaining a comprehensive history of the yacht’s gloss levels. At the end of each season, we review these readings with the Captain to plan future work.

  • Our 11-year relationship with this client is a testament to our commitment to quality, professionalism, and exceptional service. The trust we have built with the Captain and crew ensures that we continue to meet their needs and maintain the yacht’s condition.
