Successful Ceramic Coating Removal Completed on 96m Motor Yacht in Trieste

Cerashield has successfully completed a ceramic coating removal project on board a 96m motor yacht in Trieste, Italy.

The project involved the careful removal of the yacht’s existing ceramic coating, with our team working methodically across the treated areas to prepare the surface correctly for the next stage of works.

A key part of the project was not only completing the removal, but being able to verify the result. Once the work was finished, all treated areas were tested using Optimiza FTIR technology to confirm whether any ceramic coating remained on the surface.

Every test returned green, confirming that the coating had been fully removed across all areas checked.

This type of measurable verification is an important part of the Cerashield process. Rather than relying solely on visual inspection, FTIR testing provides clear confirmation that the surface is free from the previous ceramic coating and ready to move forward.

From the initial removal process through to final testing, the project was completed successfully, delivering a 100% confirmed removal result for the client.
