  • Description

Polymer Non-Ceramic Coating protects non-absorbent surfaces, based on a patented technology. Polymer Non-Ceramic Coating forms a permanent barrier layer that bonds chemically with the substrate and cures at atmospheric temperature. The surface protected with Polymer Non-Ceramic Coating can be cleaned repeatedly without reapplying the product.

  • Properties

    • Restores and seals faded paint and gel coat

    • Forms a gas barrier which protects against soot and exhaust emissions

    • High gloss

    • Excellent adhesion to most substrates

    • High UV and chemical resistance

    • Economical

    • Easy to apply

    • If required easily removed

  • Use

Polymer Non-Ceramic Coating is particularly suitable for smooth, non-absorbent surfaces, such as one or two component paints (polyurethane or epoxy systems), polyester paints, GRP surfaces, aluminium and stainless steel surfaces.

APPLICATION

Man cleaning a large glass window with a power polisher outside a building, wearing sunglasses and a navy blue jacket.
  • PRODUCT APPLICATION / TOOLS

Depending on the substrate Polymer Non-Ceramic Coating can be applied using a wipe on wipe off method. Vessels do not require tenting and applications can be done with the vessel either hard standing (in the yard) or berthed in a marina.

  • APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

The product should be applied by trained CeraShield applicators only. Test on a small area or apply a test coat before application.

MAINTENANCE

Close-up of a shiny, reflective surface, likely part of a boat or yacht, reflecting the sky and nearby objects.
  • CLEANING

Surfaces coated with Polymer Non-Ceramic Coating should be cleaned with cleaners in the pH range 3 – 12. Strong (mineral) acids or alkalis should be avoided and are also unnecessary as neutral cleaners are sufficient to clean surfaces coated with Polymer Non-Ceramic Coating.

  • Our CS 7 Micron coating is designed to deliver lasting protection while still being manageable to work with. It can be safely polished away when it’s time for reapplication of surface refinishing. This ensures flexibility for yacht owners and captains, while maintaining the premium finish Cerashield is known for.
